The Not so Great Looking Rainbow Cake

I made this on sunday morning to cater for Zakiah's Father Birthday cake and farah's wedding cake, so i planned on making a butter rainbow cake with cream cheese frosting and fresh cream layer in the middle. but somehow i failed when it comes to the decoration. So i had to cancel the order with Zakiah, so sorry Zakiah, i dont want to risk spoiling the cake on ur dad's birthday.

So, today i brought the cake to the office but suprisingly Sara and Nadirah love it especially the frosting, its nice and not so sweet. Well to be fair, the taste is good except for presentation wise, i failed in icing the cake itself. So last night has been 'You Tube'ing on the perfect way to iced a cake. I've found it, and will try to do it again!

Bread and Bun Class

Last week on Saturday, I managed to go to At19 Culinary Studio for bread and bun making class. I came into this by buying this cheap coupon from Groupon for RM150 for 3 hours class instead of RM400. So its a huge bargain and it would be great to learn how to make soft n fluffy buns.

As expected, i was the only male apart from Chef Anand, so i was the spotlight of the day and they took my picture a lot. I also made new friends there, feeling makcik2 sangat kat sana!! Listening stories bout their children and their husband. Bak kata didie, kakak paham!!

So the class was great and awesome, the buns turned out fluffy and very nice! so planning to do the buns this week, will wall up Anand if i failed!! hahahaha

Hi everyone,

I've been getting complaints from friends in Twitter that my blog has nothing yet!! Well, to be fair i've been delaying it because my beloved DSLR is at home and i've no time to transfer the pictures. Currently HavenBits is kinda small but its progressing. Received orders from friends almost every single week which is a good sign for me since i would like to see it progress. Thousands of thanks to those who believe in me!!(mengalir air mata sambil mendengar lagu Menaruh Harapan - Zaiton Sameon)

A friend actually suggested me on putting a 'Google' image of cakes,tarts that i'm able to bake instead of having to make it every single week for picture purpose!! True, she got a point there, but i believe my small and humble business should be honest! I want to put my own picture, so please bear with me ok!! i'll add everything that i baked from time to time, and do not afraid to ask me if i'm able to bake as your preference and needs!! Like farah & Zakiah enquiring about Rainbow cake!! will definitely posted the picture by end of this week!(Rainbow Cake Project)

My idea of HavenBits is to deliver an awesome desserts( Cakes, Tarts, Cupcakes and etc) in term of taste and presentation wise. So if people asked me if i can do fondant or royal icing cake, i will definitely say no! I dont like the idea of cake nowadays especially wedding cakes. They are indeed very beautiful, alluring but its stiff, dry and inedible. Its like looking at Late Princess Diana's life, which is wonderful, awesome and rich but inside she's lonely and miserable. So thats the fondant and royal icing cake!!boooooo to them!!

Greetings from HavenBits,


This is an initiative created by JoeAzrul to satisfy my own dream, its all started when every year since i was small i was forced by lovely mum to help her for on single raya occasion. She loves to bake and somehow she always try to drag me to be her helper since she is kinda over-ambitious in taking cookies order. From there, i realised that i do have interest plus a bit of talent in doing those things.

 So basically, what is HavenBits? Is it a place where people wanted to go to heaven, so they have to queue and post their name here and be our follower?? tettttt... wrong! It is basically our passion on creating products that deliver to our customer with utmost quality yet affordable and pleasant to the eyes. (We are like "Tidak perlu alah membeli, tapi tetap menang memakan")
